  • Inspecting top notch LEAR Automotive Seating for Lear's customer HYUNDAI, with right at 16 + years of experience within both Production & Quality. While in Production, with all the work involved in the build process, this time was used to gain knowledge and experience of the Assembly build process of all front row and back row seats, including all their components. On these Assembly build jobs an assortment of tools were used including torque guns, screw guns, hog ring guns, heat guns, seat lifts, steamers, and many other tools were used while moving at high rates of speed to keep these lines moving within their tag time's. After gaining knowledge within the Production Build process, I assisted the Team Leader as back up Leader, filling in when the Team Leader is absent completing all paperwork, while maintaining the Team and the department. Eventually joining hands with Lear's Quality Team, 12 years' now working within Lear's Quality Department to ensure that Quality seats are going to Lear's customer Hyundai, including working in Lear's repair loop at times repairing incoming seats that have defects or other noncompliance issues, using torque guns for marriage bolts & seatbelts, and an assortment of screw guns and drill bits for replacing side shields, connectors, modules, heater boxes, and all other components. Other jobs in Quality include working on separate lines in quality to inspect NX, OB, SONATA, ELANTRA, and all other Automotive seating inclusive of working in the Function tester Department, where all Functions of the driver and passenger seats are being tested for functionality, including all wiring, vents, heaters, seatbelts, & airbags, All being connected to cables that connect to computers where their software runs testing to ensure all are working correctly and safely. Incorporating our area of Blind Audit where seats again are inspected with their components, checking for any defects, while Applying Data Entry ensuring that what is being inspected and logged in on the computer is all matching with description on their BSN's, then being sent up to the FGI storage area ready for shipment to HYUNDAI. Being a Quality Technician, my job is to Determine the root cause of deviations and non-conforming results and implemented appropriate corrective and preventive actions throughout product development process, and to ensure that to the best of knowledge all seats and components that I inspect or encounter are held up to Lear's customer {HYUNDAI} standards , and to all safety standards.
