4th-6th Grade Teacher

Denver Academy
07.2023 - 05.2025
  • As an educator at Denver Academy, I specialized in supporting students with diverse learning differences, including dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, autism, and trauma-related challenges. I designed and delivered targeted small-group instruction grounded in the Science of Reading and Orton-Gillingham methodologies, using diagnostic assessments to continually adapt and refine lessons to meet individual needs. My homeroom students were placed with me as they were formally identified as having a severe reading deficit; with benchmark scores in the 4th to 12th percentile. This required intensive and personalized instruction. I also taught integrated math and science classes that included students across a wide range of academic abilities. Through this, I fostered and further developed my ability to implement a flexible, differentiated approach to teaching. Over two academic years, I worked with 4th–6th-grade students in both single-grade and combination classrooms, developing a dynamic instructional style tailored to highly diverse learners.

Kindergarten Teacher

27J Public Schools
08.2020 - 05.2023
  • This role required me to implement the district curriculum in a hands-on, engaging way. I differentiated lessons for my class, including my SWD, ELL learners, and students with behavior concerns. Outside of classroom teaching and duties, I ensure to engage the families within my classroom community. I do this through phone calls, weekly newsletters, planning for parent volunteers, etc. My other duties include but are not limited to weekly parent interactions, creating intervention groups based on recent data, planning with my kindergarten teammates, parent-teacher conferences, report cards, and, unfortunately, reporting to social services when the welfare of a child is at question. -Instructional Learning Team (2022-2023) The ILT is a group of educators that meet to make academic decisions in the best interest of the school. For example, reviewing data from the previous school years to identify a goal for the upcoming school year UIP. -CAT Team Committee (2021-2022) During the 2021-2022 school year, I was my grade level representative. This committee met once or twice a month to receive an agenda of topics regarding the school. There was a representative from each grade level alongside the administration who worked together to seek clarification, solutions, and ideas regarding all things Brantner.

Kindergarten Teacher

Dickinson Public Schools
  • In this role, I implemented the district curriculum through engaging, hands-on learning experiences designed to spark curiosity and support the academic and social-emotional growth of all students. I prioritized creating a safe, supportive, and enriching classroom environment where students could thrive both educationally and socially. My responsibilities also included regular communication with families, development of data-informed intervention groups, collaborative planning with kindergarten team members, facilitation of parent-teacher conferences, preparation of report cards, and, when necessary, reporting concerns to social services to ensure student safety and well-being.

Substitute Teacher

Dickinson Public Schools
01.2018 - 05.2018
  • Served as a substitute teacher across grades K-12 in a partially Title I district for five months, gaining valuable experience with diverse student populations and classroom environments. This role allowed me to observe and learn from a wide range of teaching styles and instructional strategies across multiple grade levels. Through this experience, I developed a deeper understanding of student needs and school cultures, which ultimately guided my decision to pursue a full-time teaching position at the elementary level.

Inpatient Service Specialist

Children’s Hospital
  • Provided exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
  • A complete resume can be submitted upon request. During my undergrad, I worked at Children’s Hospital for 4 years and have had jobs including but not limited to custodian, daycare worker, gym employee, nanny, etc.
