Work primarily on transportation projects in which duties include:

• special-status species habitat assessments
• tree surveys
• wetland delineations
• leading surveys and/or monitoring efforts for special-status species, including Swainson’s hawk, burrowing owl, California tiger salamander, California red-legged frog, San Joaquin kit fox, giant garter snake, and valley elderberry longhorn beetle
• authoring biological resource evaluations, biological assessments, and restoration/revegetation plans
• converting field data into maps using ArcGIS software
• leading permitting efforts with local, state, and federal resource agencies.
• managing the biological portion of projects
• supervising and mentoring junior level staff
• authoring SWPPPs and conducting BMP inspections
• providing biological and water quality technical support for CEQA/NEPA documents
