I have worked in the medical field for 20 years. Beginning in 2010 as a Patient Escort with Christiana Care, I then transitioned into a role as a Patient Care Technician on the Acute Care for the Elderly Floor at Christiana Care. Once I became knowledgable with Patient Care I wanted to enhance my knowledge in Emergent situations and accepted a role in the Emergency Department at Christiana Care. I worked in that department for 9 years before accepting a Monday-Friday position at the Helen Graham Cancer Center as an Access Coordinator. Within this role I have experienced multiple different positions which include patient scheduling of Doctors appointments, Chemotherapy Treatments, and Currently am doing Prior Authorizations for treatments, Imaging and oral medications along with scheduling for a Hematology provider.
