research

  • Ecology Class Research Project :Picking out and identifying macroinvertebrates from samples taken from a healthy creek and a 303D listed creek to see if macro invertebrates could be good water quality indicators.
  • Learned and assisted in research about the properties, that non chemically treated plants in Ecuador, had that enabled them to resist certain stresses. This was done so that we could learn how to give our plants the same properties through a potential genetic switch or transplants. The intent was to identify potentially beneficial microbes to be used for improving crop productivity and soil health and develop more environmentally friendly agricultural practices. While in Ecuador I experienced the culture that led the way to the research during Thanksgiving break in 2021.
