Lindsey Reade

Motivated and empathetic college senior pursuing a bachelor's degree in child development, with hands on experience in early childhood education, classroom assistance, and child behavior observation. Experienced in supporting children through academic field placements, with a passion for advocating for underserved communities. Skilled in active listening, connecting with diverse populations, working collaboratively in team environments, and adapting quickly in fast paced environments.

As someone who is passionate about helping others and making a difference in people’s lives, I am seeking to gain hands-on experience in the field of social work by actively participating in community outreach and client support services. I aim to apply the knowledge of adolescent's development and trauma informed care to real world situations. I hope to develop a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by diverse populations as I will be working towards my MSW in the fall. Through this internship, I hope to enhance my advocacy, problem-solving skills, and contribute to the lives of those I interact with. I hope to better understand the real-life challenges individuals face, while learning to support them with empathy and respect.

• Supported students during independent work by answering questions and providing guidance

• Assisting students and small groups with assignments
• Prepared materials and helped organize learning stations
• Led a fifteen minute math lesson
• Monitored student behavior and redirected off task students as needed
