Assisted my Welding instructor’s within college welding lab. Assisted students as needed.

• Combination welder, pipe or structural, carbon or stainless.
• Measure, cut, grind, bevel pipe, weld pipe.
• Welded on heat exchangers, welded 1 1/2" pipe and up, welded on flanges for machining, socket welds in shop, welded on pipe and storage tanks in the plants.
• Adjusted the weld machines to the correct settings prior to weld applications.
• Worked overtime, including evenings and weekends, to respond to emergencies and fix unsafe conditions.
• Removed loose materials and thick scale, slag or rust to prepare material surfaces for welding.
• Obtained desired configurations by clamping and tack-welding components.
• Cleaned and degreased weld joints and workpieces efficiently.
• Prepared broken parts for welding by properly grooving and scarfing surfaces.
• Operated overhead 10 ton cranes and forklifts.
• Prevented distortion of parts by monitoring fitting, burning and welding processes.
• Scraped off excess spatter and other materials using portable grinders and arc-cutting equipment.

• Welded on multiple machinery, machinery sensors, welded supports, pipe, grating platforms, built handrailing, stainless or carbon, lubricated tracks within plant, bolted components when needed.
• Has worked in confined spaces and elevated heights.
• Torch cut, grind, bevel, assemble components, and weld.
• Set up welding machines for use, pulled leads, prepped metal, used mag drill when needed.
• Gathered materials needed, measured, and cut to length.
• Maintained a safe and clean work environment. Team player.

• Worked along side the fitter/fabricator.

• Cut, grind, clamp, level pipe to be tacked, helped check for hi-low on pipe.
• Tacked pipe stainless or carbon.
• Welded when needed.

• Helped check-in supplies in pipe yard.
• Cleaned up work area after completed work day.
• Helped write JSA's for work day.
