I currently maintain and service fire hydrants and hydrant values to Calwater standards. Using my tablet I am able to follow a pattern and create work orders assuring ever hydrant gets serviced in its appropriate time frame. When i leave the hydrant it should have the proper spacing allowing fire crews to have easy access, the hydrant should be leak free and the stems should operate freely. Values should open and close properly and marked for easy locating.
Operating and maintaining domestic water infrastructure. Repairing water mains, service lines and some pump equipment. Taking scheduled and unscheduled water samples. Sometime before leaving the city I had worked my way into leak truck foreman.
I was a lead plumber I usually had 2 helpers with me. I would do anything from a rough in, top out and even finish work what ever the job entailed. Most of the time when I arrived it was just a dirt field, i would read plans and pull strings setting my layout for the job. Im certified in different forms of soldering and Van Guard water lines. Most of my experience is in the commerical industry.
