My career and passion in machining began with my studies at Hudson Valley Community College in their Advanced Manufacturing Associates program. I graduated as the valedictorian of my class with a 4.0 overall GPA, being the first to complete my capstone project and receiving an award from P1 Industries. I gained so much knowledge throughout my education, from manual machining, hand programming CNC Lathes and Mills, and eventually becoming proficient with MasterCam and SolidWorks. I also studied metrology, programming CMMs, process planning, and more. Excited by how much I was learning, I started as an intern at Jenks Machine and Tool in 2021, giving me insight into the industry and hands-on shop experience. Later in the year, I started an apprenticeship through Jenks and the New York Center for Economic Growth in conjunction with college. I have now completed that as of December 2025 and am a certified Journeyworker Machinist. Upon graduating from HVCC in 2022, I progressed very quickly in my career at Jenks. I implemented strategies to optimize programs for faster production while assisting co-workers in troubleshooting and modifying programs. Using the expertise I gained at HVCC, I became the shop's main programmer in 2023, where I use Gibbscam alongside hand programming to get the posted program ready and on the shop floor. Outside of work, I bought an old CNC Bridgeport mill for personal use and overhauled it as well as retrofitting a modern control system and servos using custom parts I machined and fabricated myself.
