  • I worked in various roles in the hospital in the almost 21 years employed for them. I started as a nursing assistant and maintained that for 7 years before becoming a unit secretary. I worked as a unit secretary for a year and a half maintaining the files for inpatient charts. I then moved to radiology where I scheduled various test on an outpatient basis. I also scheduled appointments for the patients post testing stage. I then worked in the access department as a patient registrar. This position allowed for me to gain experience in precertification and learn more detail regarding patient insurance. I also in this section developed the schedule for more than 20 coworkers in the department. In the last leg of my career with Chilton medical center, I was the administrative assistant to the Senior management team of surgical services. This covered operating room, same day surgery, recovery room, and endoscopic services. While in this role I developed and maintained various spreadsheets for the Senior management team of all three entities. I also while in this role filled in for ordering supplies and various equipment for surgical cases.
