Bookkeeping
· Processing payments, invoices, income and receipts and entering data into accounting software and databases
· Accounts Receivable: processing payments, reconciling accounts, sending invoices, and following up on overdue payments
· Accounts Payable: Paying vendor invoices and tracking bank account balances
· Procurement Management: responsible for finding goods and services at the best value and track inventory and restock as needed
· Verifying the accuracy of business accounts
· Developing monthly financial statements including cash flow, profit and loss and balance sheets
· Managing employee expense claims
· Closing out the books by finalizing financial records and preparation for annual audits
Payroll
· Maintaining payroll information by collating, calculating and entering data
· Updating payroll records by entering any changes to employee information or benefits such as job title changes, exemptions and saving deductions
· Preparing reports that include summaries of earnings, tax deductions, leave, compassionate leave and non-taxable wages
· Calculating payroll liabilities by determining employee taxes, including federal and state income and social security tax, and calculating employer’s payments for social security, unemployment and worker’s compensation
· Maintaining all payroll operations according to company policies and procedures
Human Resources
· Onboarding: Helping with new employee orientation
· Conduct reference or background checks on job applicants
· Ensure job descriptions are up to date and compliant
· Compensation and benefits: Preparing compensation and benefits packages
· Prepare or maintain employment records related to events, such as hiring, termination, leaves, transfers, and promotions
· Interpret and explain organizations’ human resources policies and procedures, laws, standards, and regulations
· Maintain and update human resources documents, such as organizational charts, employee handbooks or directories, or performance evaluation forms
· Administer employee benefit plans
Coordinate and monitor activities among secretarial staff including billing and submission of reports. Duties include typing general/confidential and routine correspondence, opening and routing daily mail, record keeping, and other duties to relieve Director of routine administrative duties. Prepare and deliver all payroll and accounts payable information to fiscal agent in Colfax County. Record and transcribe Board Minutes accurately. Gather and provide information to Director for preparation of Budgets.
