I'm an energetic, enthusiastic RN with excellent people skills and a very dedicated work ethic. I have 17 years of experience as a nurse in clinical settings providing a variety of nursing care, such as Emergency Room, palliative care, to Endoscopy in diverse populations. I'm very much a people person and thoroughly enjoy helping others through my nursing career. I have many certifications and am always wanting and willing to learn more. I most recently received the Daisy Award while at UMC in lubbock Texas and Employee of the Quarter in December 2024.

Will explain during interview.
While at Hospice of Wichita Falls, I had the pleasure to serve as Expansion Coordinator over the Vernon office, placing me directly in charge of at least 10 other staff members. This managerial position provided me with experience in task and patient delegation to other nurses, social work, and CNA visits. As a Hospice Care Nurse, it has been my pleasure to care for patients and their families through the final stages of life. I have helped patients be without pain and suffering, while assisting the family with grief counseling and coping with the loss of their loved ones. Through this experience, I have learned about my own compassion and gained much know ledge to carry into my future nursing career.
As a traveling nurse, this was my third travel assignment. I worked as a nurse in a very busy Level 3 Trauma/Emergency Room. As the largest Emergency Room in the Texas Panhandle, we had many different ambulance and flight services bringing us patients from the Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma regions that ranged anywhere from mass traumas, MVC's, shootings, stabbings, drug overdoses, and drunks, to sick pediatrics and elderly. While at this contract, I assisted in the opening of a new freestanding Emergency Room, as a satellite facility to the main ED.
Assessed need for, ordered, obtained and interpreted appropriate lab tests.
As a Travel Nurse, I worked as a Charge Nurse in this extremely fast paced Level 4 Emergency Room. As the only Emergency Room within 2 hours of itself and being walking distance from the border of Mexico, we saw patients that ranged anywhere from mass traumas, shootings, stabbings, Drug war casualties, MVC's, drug overdoses, pediatrics and elderly patients, and patients traveling from Mexico, seeking better medical care than what was available across the border.
I received the daisy award in January 2025 for my passionate care of my patients and my willingness to always be a patient advocate.
