Accomplishments
- Central Maryland Medical Surgical Consortium- The Med Surg consortium is a group of local hospitals who combine resources to provide a bi-yearly review course for the Med/Surg certification exam. Each consortium member provides a speaker for the review course. I have presented lectures about heart failure, aneurysm, DVT and PVD and Orthopaedic nursing. I developed a learner centered environment by creating and implementing a case scenario format. This format consistently received positive feedback and high likert scores on the student evaluations. I served as the chairperson for one year and was able to edit the program from a 3 day to a two day format to increase the number of people who would be able to attend the consortium.
- Towson University - I was invited by a professor in the nursing program to present an Orthopaedic lecture to two groups of nursing students in spring semester 2018.
- 2023 - Poster presentation for Shine conference at Johns Hopkins Hospital :
