Accurately identify, register, and maintain detailed records of cancer patients within the Q-Centrix healthcare system, utilizing expertise in medical terminology and data abstraction
to collect and analyze patient information for research, quality improvement, and regulatory reporting purposes, while adhering to strict data privacy and compliance standards; requiring a strong understanding of cancer staging, treatment protocols, and the International Classification of Diseases for Oncology (ICD-0) coding system.

Key Responsibilities:

Casefinding: Actively identify potential cancer cases by reviewing medical records, electronic health records (EHR), and other healthcare data sources within the Q-Centrix system.

Data Abstraction: Accurately extract and record detailed patient information including demographics, medical history, tumor characteristics, stage, treatment modalities, follow up data, and patient outcomes using the tumor registry system.

ICD-0 Coding: Properly code cancer diagnoses and procedures using the ICD-0 coding system to ensure data consistency and accuracy.

Patient Follow-Up: Conduct regular follow-up with patients and healthcare providers to gather updated medical information and track cancer progression.

Quality Assurance: Monitor data quality by performing regular reviews and audits to identify and correct errors, maintaining compliance with national cancer registry standards.

Collaboration: Collaborate with clinicians, oncologists, researchers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate data collection and analysis.

Compliance: Adhere to all relevant data privacy regulations and reporting requirements for cancer registries.
