Soldier & Family Readiness Advisor

 

  • Started up the group for the command from ground up.
  • Work directly with leadership, with regular communication ensuring that resources were readily available for soldiers and their families.
  • Creating a monthly newsletter, distributing it to soldiers and families. Providing information necessary to aid in keeping national defense safe and information on resources and events.
  • Event Planning.
  • Work with community partners to provide information and resources to soldiers, such as employment resources.
  • Put together events with multiple organizations attending and presenting to the command employers and recruiting.
  • Created a social media presence for the group, giving the soldiers and families a regular place to go for updates.
  • Provided a line of communication for families to use to leadership and resources.
  • Worked with multiple community partners to provide supplies for a Soldier send off.
  • Worked with the local Mayor of Azusa where the Armory was, along with a few representatives who attended in honor of other dignitaries. Helped with providing information for leadership to receive a certificate and be presented with two flags.
  • On short notice put together a Soldier send off for Soldiers and their families (approximately 300 people), full meal with additional resources provided for attendees. Arranged for a local Fire House to attend with engine for the children attending.
