December of 2023 I applied and interviewed for a position on the Emerging Leaders program with the City of Westminster. This is offered every 2 years, to all employees in the City of Westminster, and there are 25 openings. It is a year long training for employees looking to move into management. They train using assessments, guest speakers and guest trainers, activities for team building, ending with a group project to be presented to City Leaders. I was fortunate to receive an offer to join this amazing group of people and be offered the opportunity to learn leadership skills that I can use to promote within Westminster or anywhere I should go.
