  • Responsible for leading the development, implementation and administration of Payroll & Benefits to include time tracking, paid time off, payroll, payroll tax, workers comp, health and welfare benefits, retirement benefits, equity administration (stock options, ESPP) and compliance
  • Partner with executive leadership team on a wide variety of strategic initiatives providing guidance and recommendations in plan development and policy administration

Workforce Management Quality Control

ARAMARK
01.2010 - 12.2013
  • ARAMARK identified Kronos Workforce Central as their labor management system to be deployed throughout the organization of over 250,000 US domestic employees and rolled out over a 5-year period
  • When a profit center was selected to deploy Kronos, there were 4 phases to the deployment: Assessment – team that identified client requirements
  • Configuration – team of individuals configured the system based on the site requirements
  • Quality Assurance – team of individuals that tested the configuration
  • Quality Control – Developed a team that was responsible to review the configuration with the site contacts, train the end users and get them up and running on Kronos and supporting them through their site implementation and through 6 weeks post deployment
  • Coached the team in how to interpret site requirements
  • Through hands on demonstration and practice, trained the team on how to demonstrate detailed scenarios so that they would be able to effectively communicate back to their customers during the pre-go live face to face meetings
  • Participated on site meetings to provide encouragement and or guidance as needed
  • There were 7 team members and each team member had between 8 – 10 sites at a time, depending on complexity
  • Responsible for set up of payroll system to ensure the site is now included in payroll interface
  • Responsible for the daily HR interface and processing of the weekly time file to payroll.

Payroll Manager

  • There was an overlap in responsibilities as Payroll Manager while working on the Workforce Management Project
  • The payroll department in Downers Grove closed in 2011
  • Accountable for all aspects of the payroll function for over 30,000 employees
  • Employee maintenance
  • Payroll processing – bi-weekly and weekly payrolls, approximately 5,000 profit centers located throughout the US submit hours on their scheduled processing day, the payroll team is responsible for importing, auditing and approving time to be processed and validating the output the day after, manual checks
  • Tax area - 7 Federal ID No’s, 47 states, 350 local tax jurisdictions to include OH and PA
  • Reconcile federal, state withholding, state unemployment tax and local tax filing, multiple worksite reporting, W2’s, head tax, participate in agency audits
  • Union remittance and audits (approximately 75 union accounts)
  • Other – annual salary administration, annual bonuses, stock options, relocation
  • Responsible for 3.5M budget with 5 exempt and 16 non-exempt team members.
