Accomplishments

  • Oversaw daily operations, effectively delegating tasks to appropriate team members. Under the service contract requirement that there was a daily expectation that all mail was to be completely opened on the same day of delivery. My team accomplished this goal each day by taking a personal interested in how many pieces of mail was delivered and how much was left to open at 1:00 P.M I would ask for volunteers and if I did not get any volunteers. I would have to mandate the entire team to stay until the mail was done. There was hardly a time for volunteers because they all wanted to finish the mail as a team.
  • I would generate a file pull list of thousands of files to me be pulled using Microsoft Excel to create a file pull list by location. I trained my file clerks to run a vlookup in excel to assure there was no duplicates or missing files.
  • Streamlined our outgoing mail process. The file was electronically shipped out in our file tracking system but if the shipping clerk did have have time to ship the files out then the files were not in transit according to the file tracking system. The correction to this was as the files were physically shipped out. Then the electronic action in the file tracking system would then be updated as shipped and that both action and system match correctly.
  • I worked along side a unionized workforce and I am proud to say that any and all concerns were treated with respect and consideration. I very much like the strategy and the out of the box approach that went into correcting any issues that came up.

I just started searching a few months ago and it's been odd.  In the past I was so used to applying for a job position and getting an offer straight away. I have been informed that I am over qualified for some of the positions I applied for.  As of right now I have had interviews and then I don't hear back. I was up for one job and had 3 interviews and it was down to myself and another candidate. Unfortunately I was not chosen. I did call and asked for feedback but I did not get a response. I know eventually the right opportunity will come along at the right time.
