My job as a school driver for children with disabilities, medical conditions and mobility challenges is a very challenging job. It is my responsibility to pick these children up daily, drive them to school safely and then pick them up from school and drive them home. This job comes with many responsibilities, such as safe transportation, passenger assistance when needed, communication, protocols to follow, safety training, behavior management and you have to have patience, strong communication skills as its extremely challenging at times due to the wide variety of disabilities of the kids we drive. We drive to multiple areas and all different schools, not just Nazareth. A typical day requires about six hours of driving. It's not a job for everybody. You have to be a certain type of person to do this job.

At this job I started as a Secretary and was promoted to Office Manager within 6 months. I had a wide range of responsibilities. The reason for leaving this job was that after 32 years of business, the owner decided it was time to retire and he sold his shop and moved back to Italy. I wore many responsibilities.

I would open the shop. I managed daily emails, calls and mail.

I was in charge of managing the schedules of our techs and customers. I made all our service call appointments and verified warranty info. Reviewed and signed our contracts with our warranty companies. I billed companies such as LG, Samsung, Assurian and others. Made up daily deposits, managed multiple spreadsheets, ordered parts for customers, I was in charge of our employees personal information. In charge of keeping accurate updated customer information. I was in charge of paying monthly bills. I was in charge of payroll. I interviewed/Screened/Hired staff members and was in charge of employee reviews.

At this job you had to be a strong team player and be able to multi-task. This was a very fast paced Dr. office and as a staff member you were a team player and had to be ready to help wherever help was needed. My reason for leaving this job was that we decided to make a family decision and move to PA from NJ and I took time off to raise our children. I had so many job responsibilities there. I would open the office. I handled incoming calls, faxes, emails, checked patients in when they arrived, responsible for making up patient charts, verified patients Insurances and retrieved referrals, in charge of patients confidential information, made patient appointments, checked patients out, took co-payments, in charge of daily mail, managed multiple spreadsheets, was in charge of daily deposits, billed insurance companies, contacted insurance companies if there was billing concerns, billed customers if they had balances, assisted with the scheduling of patients surgeries, assisted with explanation of pre-op testing for surgery, assisted in making sure patients had appropriate testing done prior to surgery, followed up with patients doctors about the patients care with appropriate documents. Made sure our emergency call service was on when we weren’t open. In charge of managing the daily schedules and making adjustments as needed. I had to have a very strong/organized relationship with the Doctor to keep in constant contact with everything that was going on in the office.

Here's just a little about me on a personal level. I'm a very proud mom and wife. I enjoy life and try to live everyday counting my blessings. I am actively involved in my children's schools. I try to raise my children to do great things in life and be as helpful and kind to others as you can be and to work hard. I must be doing something right because I'm constantly hearing how wonderful my kids are from so many which is an amazing feeling. In my free time I truly enjoy going camping. Of course anything with my family. I have very strong beliefs that you must work hard in life to achieve great things.
