I was responsible for counting, measuring, matching stripes, patterns and colors; checking the quality of material on garment pieces prior to assembling, and maintaining a clean, safe work area.
I was hired as a cashier but quickly moved to the Customer Service Desk where I assisted customers with refunds/exchanges and set up layaways for customers. I was promoted to Customer Service Manager where I was responsible for approving large amount checks and credit cards, assigning cashiers to specific duties and scheduling their breaks. I was also responsible for checking to see that all money was deposited in the safe at the end of the day. When the new company purchased the store, I was asked to work on a “change over team” to restructure the store. (This was a temporary position.)
