I enjoy learning new skills and doing research
As a teenager, I spent 3 summers volunteering at Baylor Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. I worked with children in the Pediatric Center for Restorative Care facility and was entrusted with managing the hospital's gift shop.
This fostered a desire to seek employment in the Health Care Industry, which led to my first job as a Clinical Clerk in the Department of Cardiology within the Roberts' Building at Baylor Medical Center of Dallas. During my employment, I transported patients to and from the Heart Center for various tests, informing and reassuring patients and their family members regarding their procedures.
I received my CPR certification and was trained to perform 12 lead EKGs. I attended Cardiology conferences alongside Baylor's team of Heart Surgeons, as well as handling and transporting sensitive patient records.
Later, I received an offer of employment for the position of Office Manager at Richie Auto Transport, a trucking and logistics company operating in Balch Springs, Texas. I utilized Quickbooks to perform the responsibilities of my position including A/R, A/P, Payroll, and Data Entry. Working directly under the owner of the company for whom I also organized and planned flights and accommodations for business trips and meetings. Due to changes in the company's structure during the acquisition by another trucking company, my employment ended.
It was at this point that I was hired at M-Tex Industrial Supply Company in Wylie, Texas as an Accounts Receivable/Billing position. Creating extensive, detailed invoices for both Wylie, Texas and Sherman, Texas warehouses, taking and routing calls and emails throughout the company, as well as maintaining records and files.
After working for M-Tex for more than 3 years, I had reached the top of my pay grade and was offered an Administrative Assistant position at Nature Calls in Terrell, Texas. I was trained on their industry-specific logistics software and utilized my knowledge of Quickbooks Pro to assist in A/R, A/P and Collection Resolutions.
I was introduced to the owners of 1-10 Construction in Royse City, Texas by a colleague for the position of Administrative Assistant. In short order, I had learned and become proficient in assisting with Home Owner Insurance Claims and Supplements software, Xactimate, as well as honing my skills in building spreadsheets in Excel to track open claims, communications, job completion, and resolution of each claim.
Sharing each of the above employment experiences was imperative to illustrate that my entire work history has spanned over more than 26 years. Much more than can be completely articulated here, no less a single-page resume.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
