I started with this company in 2010 and have been responsible for purchasing for material from gaskets, oring and bearing's. My vendor base is 500+ being both state side and international. I have vendors in China, Slovakia, UK, Tawaiin and Italy along with other Countries. Negotiating and setting up new vendors all while securing best pricing and also quality of parts. I also was part of getting our location Iso certified and responsible for Purchasing audit yearly. Submitting purchase orders daily and also maintain on time delviery. My ontime delivery from vendors was over 95% last year. I also was just asked to be part of a team to award a new freight forwarding company. Our RFP was sent out to 20 different companies and was just awarded and we expect to have dramatic cost savings for the year.

I started with this Company right out of high school. I started in engineering learning how to weigh material for truck loads. I then was recruited by the pricing department. We as a team were responsible for both the pricing of material and all labor from our fab shop. We implemented a pre-bill system for all materials for our largest customers which I was responsible for. That was done by Iso drawings bills of material at the time job was awarded. That allowed us to to buy the material ahead of time and charge the customer. The maintance of material used was credited for each shipment once fabrication was completed. I also checked and charged for all the labor and quality testing for each shipment. After many years in Billing i was asked to join the Invenotry Control/Purchasing Department. We were responsible for all RFQ's and allocation of material to drawings for fabrication. After our Manager retired I was offered the position of Manager. In that position I was responsible of a 20 million dollar inventory and also an amazing crew of 15 people. This position required being able to read both Isometric drawings for material puchasing and also Autocad drawing that were released for fabrication. Setting up AML and going out to quote to approved vendors and securing pricing that kept us in margin that was set at the time of project being awarded. The recieving depart was also under my umbrella due for the storage of MTR's that we sent to our customer for products used. Allocating and releasing prints to our Fab shop that employed 350-400 employees. Holding yearly audits of all material at our location.
