  • I am responsible for changing out sharps containers in hospital settings to include procedure areas, laboratories, Radiology areas, ER Departments, PACU, Pre-Op areas, patients rooms on floors. I work 6 different hospitals on a weekly basis that consist of a Monday-Friday schedule. I have to enter information on a control sheet as to how many sharps containers were changed out, their size, date if service.
  • I also have to change out Pharmaceutical containers in the pharmacy and in special procedure areas, as well as on floors, for controlled pharmaceutical disposal. This is done every 3 months with signature verification by nursing or pharmacy staff, date, area of change out.

I am an excellent communicator because I listen to what is being said to me and filter out what is not important so that I can get to the issue that needs to be addressed by me or my supervisor.
