Duties Performed

Event manager duties for Mobile Military Dental Events included contacting team members to confirm attendance and give detailed information for the event. Replacing any tea member that is unable to attend, verifying information with the military POC and arranging set up for the event. Coordinating the drop off of equipment and making all necessary reports. On set up day all equipment is moved to the facility and inventoried, stations are set up, (check in/out, data entry, x-ray, exam, sterilization, and treatment) and then tested. Any damaged equipment is tagged and replacements are located. All paperwork is organized and distributed to proper location.  Documentations are scanned and uploaded into a shared file for corporate to access. Reports are generated and given to the Military POC, There are anywhere from 5-20 team member that I am in charge of training, organizing and monitoring, staffing evaluations are submitted and their time is entered at the conclusion of the event. Any staffing problems, logistic problems, IT problems area all handled in the field. In the office I am in charge of  planning and implementing the Give Kids A Smile program and any other out reach opportunities throughout the year.  Maintain all handpiece repairs and records. As a RDA I am experienced in greeting and preparing patients for dental treatment. Properly sterilize dental equipment and exam rooms in accordance with infection control policies. Gently and skillfully take x-ray with  Nomad and wall mount x-ray machines and develop x-ray with dip tanks and digital.  Coordinate appointment schedules. Routinely complete inventory, supply, orders and restock. Provide appropriate post operative instructions as prescribed by the dentist. Thoroughly and accurately gather and record medical and dental history and vital signs of patients. Make prelim impressions and final impressions. Adjusted Dentures and Removable Partial Dentures as well as night guards. Place amalgam restorations, temporary fillings, sealants, and coronal polished teeth. Made and fit temporary crowns and final  impressions for Lab Technicians.

 Correctly arrange instrument trays prior to dental treatment. Expertly filed patients charts. Performed Lab and Radiologic support functions. Proficiently assisted dentist, diagnostic, preventive, general, endodontic and surgical procedures. Expertly chart conditions of decay and disease to prepare for diagnostics of treatment by dentist. Prepared treatment plans and estimates. Administered Topical anesthetic, Remove sutures.  Expertly managed emotional or difficult patients situations and responded promptly to patients needs. Maintained proper graphic and periodontal charting. Consistently followed protocols regarding quality assurance, biohazard, infection control, charting and emergencies. Wrote precise fabrication instructions and prescriptions for denturists and dental technicians.  Scheduled appointments and other front desk (phones, file, check in and check out patients,  referrals, scan documents in charts ).
