I currently handle all the Identity issues and complaints that are reported to UNC. Respond to patients inquiries, as well as resolve billing discrepancies and disputes, update patients insurance, contact patients insurance companies when needed to verify the correct information, resubmits claims for processing when needed, send requests for refunds, move payments when needed, along with reaching out directly to the patients to advise what occurred and how we corrected the issue. I research all the account carefully to verify who and how the issues occurred. Once I have everything corrected and I send all the information to our Privacy Department to advise what happened and how we corrected the issue, resolve disputes and conflicts. Address concerns and providing accurate information. Maintained detailed records of patients interactions and transactions, ensuring accurate documentation and follow-up. Research and resolved customer inquiries and complaints quickly. Identified and resolved discrepancies and errors in customer accounts. I have also helped our Liability Department with Attorney requests and Subpoenas,responded to BBB complaints, set up payment arrangements, respond to MyChart requests and inquires, Coordinate with other departments to ensure billing accuracy.
