Three Mid-Atlantic Emmy Awards for a music program and a lifestyle program
As a Producer, I have been nominated for a Mid-Atlantic Emmy 8 times for my work at WHYY. One Emmy win was for our weekly music program called On Tour, which featured world class musicians who were performing in our area. I worked with artist management to book them as a musical guest. I did the research, conducted the interviews, and created the script for this half hour program.
Once the lifestyle program was added, I produced weekly segments to feature people and places for "You Oughta Know" informing our audience about the interesting people and events that they "ought" to know about. The Emmy's were for "Best Lifestyle Program".
In addition to being one of the segment producers, I also ran the Teleprompter for our weekly tapings.
