National Organizations and Committees

2008 – 2011: Association of Professors of Gynecology and Obstetrics (APGO) Clerkship Coordinator Task Force

Appointed by APGO, the national organization for OBGYN to work on identifying and aligning clinical clerkship coordinators in their roles and supporting professional growth and activities. This task force was Instrumental in the creation of Medical Education Clerkship Coordinators of OBGYN (MECCOG).

2011 - Current: Program Chair for Medical Education Clerkship Coordinators of OBGYN (MECCOG)

National organization sponsored by APGO as a professional organization of clinical clerkship administrators. The MECCOG Program Chair is appointed by APGO and is a member of the MECCOG leadership team. As the Program Chair, I am responsible to create, coordinate, organize and implement MECCOG's conference program during the CREOG and APGO Annual Meeting. The Program Chair is expected to incorporate the program to include sharing ideas, challenges, innovation and best practices.

Additional Information

  • 2022 - Awarded, APGO's 3rd Annual Donna Wachter Clerkship Coordinator Award. This national award is designed to recognize an outstanding OBGYN Clerkship Coordinator as identified by the Department Chair. The Clerkship Coordinator is an essential member of the OBGYN clerkship team. Exemplary coordinators possess excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to problem solve discretely and diplomatically. Coordinators embody an institution's mission, vision, and values.
  • 2016 – Recipient, University of Hawaii at Manoa Chancellor’s Award for Outstanding Service. Recognizing exceptional work performance, service & leadership.
