Dedicated and compassionate, with a proven track record in child and elderly care, I excel in creating safe and engaging environments for individuals with disabilities, particularly autism. At Guild Of St. Agnes, I uniquely facilitated transitions and learning, blending my artistic talents and deep understanding of special needs. My commitment to fostering dignity, independence, and a love for learning stands out, showcasing my ability to connect and enrich lives.
I also am an accomplished artist, I had some of my pieces in the Fitchburg Art Museum Community Gallery- WHILE ALIVE!!! A very rare thing for an artist!
I’ve done this unofficially FOREVER as he’s my family
I grew up doing volunteer work. My mom would bring me to help feed the poor. When I was little I would play with the other kids. When I got older, I’d help cook and clean etc and also socialize with the patrons. I still do this when I can.
I did the usual things
This was a volunteer job working at South High, my aunt was the Principal. It was just for the summer.
I sorted mail
I shredded papers
I dealt with the occasional parent
I did a bit of everything honestly
This was my work study job at Anna Maria
I helped check books in/out
I helped organize books and shelves
I helped others with research projects (my least favorite part)
This was the volunteer job I took after subway
I did the afore mentioned duties
I was in the kids section
I helped to organize books
I helped check in/out books
I helped with the card catalog
This was when I was in elementary school in the late 90s/early 2000s
This was my FIRST EVER JOB.
I made the sandwiches and washed the dishes
I didn’t like the fast paced-ness of the service industry so I resigned after a month and decided to do more library volunteering
Again I was in high school volunteering and I did the afore mentioned library tasks
I cleaned tables
I served food
I’d cook the food
And I’d socialize with the students and my coworkers
I only stayed a month as personal family matters occurred and I had to help them
I am very good with kids especially those with disabilities and autism
I am very intelligent (perhaps too smart)
I am good with compromise and I truly CARE about the kiddos
I give it my all, I truly try my best
I’m excellent at sharing knowledge and making learning fun
I’m excellent at art
And I hope to foster an environment of kindness, understanding, creativity and learning An environment where the kids feel SAFE and LOVED In short, I know exactly how NOT to be based on the teachers from my past who were very abusive
My mom is a pediatric nurse practitioner and before HIPPAA, I was able to train at her side. I also speak Spanish. I’m a little bit rusty as I’ve not had to in a while, but am technically fluent in it.
