On most days, I come with a soft heart and a joyful spirit.
Bearing a sense of servitude and compassion, the joy of making someone's day comes naturally. In fact, it is one of my main objectives each day - to leave someone in a better state of mind than when I first saw them. Leaving a positive imprint on someone's day - and even someone's life is a privilege I hold dear. Despite how fast-paced this world is, I believe this very thing is still possible.
Despite the responsibilities that come with caring for the youth, it is one of the most fulfilling experiences that have been given to us! They remind us of the little things, and often get our minds off of the things we don't need to worrying about in the first place.
This position encompasses a wide variety of possible roles you could be assigned to, depending on personal strengths and warehouse demands in general. From the 'unload,' which is where packages are removed from 18-wheelers and first enter the warehouse, to 'loading,' which is where packages are to be loaded into their properly assigned UPS truck, this job requires physical endurance and mental focus in virtually all aspects.
Moreover, my contributions to this company have been in the 'pre-load' shift, which takes place from 4am to 9am. This is the shift which is responsible for ensuring that each UPS driver has the proper packages at the proper time.
(Times are subject to change depending on your role and the time of the year.)
Depending on which particular role is assigned to you, the OTR department consists of greeting, guiding, and loading various waves of vans which come in and out of the warehouse over the course of the day. OTR regulates this process by scanning each van that enters the warehouse, and relaying the information to the rest of the team.
Before being moved up to this position, I was a package handler. Package handlers are responsible for assigning various packages to a certain container, which are then taken (by OTR) to the vans for delivery.
(My date-times for this job are estimated, and not yet confirmed.) If exact dates are needed, I can provide contact information.
