• Has complete supervisory responsibility for day-to-day operations and shift activities within the dispatch center in accordance with organizational standards.

• Assigned as a Communications Training Officer providing training to new employees and completes written daily and weekly reports on their progress.
• Performs same work responsibilities as a Public Safety Dispatcher II.

• Process emergency and non-emergency calls/radio for Police, Fire and EMS services. Prioritizes situations and collects relevant information in a timely manner as not to delay response. Coordinates response to emergency and non-emergency incidents that affect public safety.
• Operates base radio console equipment, transmitting and receiving routine and emergency messages.
• Dispatches emergency police/fire personnel in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Assisted callers in emergency situations with appropriate information and support.
• Applied interpersonal skills in neutralizing hostile and emotionally charged situations.
• Accurately updates and maintains written logs, files and computer information.
• Monitors alarm systems, CCTV cameras, and other databases with GPS tracking systems.

• Receive 9-1-1 emergency, non-emergency, and customer service calls using a Hexagon Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system; Operates a radio-microphone system to dispatch Police, Fire Rescue & Paramedics, Airfield Safety and other personnel regarding emergencies.
