I am currently pursuing a degree in Secondary Education at Point Park University, where I have completed coursework designed to prepare me for a career working with students in diverse learning environments. My studies include classes such as Assessment and Adaptation and Positive Behavioral Supports and Interventions, which have equipped me with strategies to support student learning, manage behavior, and adapt instruction to meet individual needs.
Through my program, I have gained valuable hands on experience by completing field hours in elementary, middle, and high school classrooms, as well as at Conroy, a school dedicated to supporting students with special needs. During these experiences, I have assisted in classrooms, helped supervise students on playgrounds, and supported learning during field trips, helping to create safe, structured, and engaging environments.
These experiences have helped me develop strong skills in communication, adaptability, patience, and maintaining a positive attitude. I am confident in my ability to work effectively with students, support group activities, and contribute to a safe and inclusive environment, making me well-prepared for roles working with youth.
