A self-motivated and driven former law enforcement officer with over seven years of experience. Prioritizing public service throughout my career, I have a diverse background in emergency telecommunications, firefighting, court services, corrections, and most recently as a Deputy Sheriff. These experiences have honed my ability to establish and maintain robust work and community partnerships, enabling me to effectively conduct investigations and secure convictions. My daily routine required effective time management and multitasking to efficiently fulfill my duties. During my tenure in law enforcement, I spearheaded the establishment of the first-ever Police Explorer Program, developing comprehensive policies and procedures to train young and aspiring police candidates. Additionally, I actively participated in coordinating numerous community relations events for a local non-profit organization, with the primary objective of strengthening community-police partnerships. Eager to embark on a new professional journey, I firmly believe that my past work history will provide me with the necessary skills and knowledge to navigate the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.
I volunteered for Centralia Backs the Blue to promote a closer relationship between my community and its police department. The purpose of this volunteer organization was to ensure that our community had a clear understanding of the police department and the role it played in protecting and serving the community, and to provide police officers with opportunities for positive interaction with the community. I helped address residents’ concerns and shared their needs with police officers. I have also taken on responsibility for the smooth flow of communication between the police department and the citizens of Centralia. My volunteer work had not only strengthened my relationship with other law enforcement partners but also provided me with a closer bond with the residents of my town. It has given me the opportunity to be a positive force for both law enforcement and the community.
