I am an 18 year old student currently attending Modesto Junior College. I plan to major in Kinesiology with the goal of becoming a Physical Therapist. In addition to attending classes, I am also a member of the football team, currently red-shirting as a Quarterback. I have been to Dick's Sporting Goods on multiple occasions for supplies and accessories for my multiple sports, and have loved the atmosphere every time I go. I grew up playing sports all day, every day, and having the opportunity to work at a store where I am surrounded by a sports-themed atmosphere would be a dream job. Throughout my sports career, sports have taught me an an immense amount of teamwork, adaptability to stressful situations, and problem solving to find the right solution.
Throughout my football career, I have played quarterback. Every game I was put into stressful and had to adapt to stressful situations, which I can apply to work situations. Sports have also taught me valuable time management skill, the belief that being early means being on time, being on time is considered late, and being late is unacceptable.
Working as a referee has taught me excellent communication skills, as I would need to communicate with coaches, parents, and players about various issues arising during each game. I believe that my experience, knowledge of sports, and willingness to learn would allow me to fit into the Dick's team fluidly and be a great addition to the Dick's team.
In every sport I played throughout high school, I was a scholar athlete, achieving a 3.0 or higher every semester.
