Prior to working in the fire service I spent several years in mental and behavioral health housing and job coaching. I then accepted a management position while on the hiring list for the Fargo Fire Department which gave me experience in a supervisory role. I completed my A.S. in Fire Science and Administration and promptly enrolled for a B.S. in Fire Administration/Fire Investigation with courses in budgeting, public administration, Community Risk Reduction, and personnel management. Upon completion of my B.S. program, I have been accepted into Arizona State University's Master's of Public Safety Leadership and Administration (Executive Fire Administration) Program beginning Summer 2024.
