When I was 18, I drove 2.5 hours back and forth from Indianapolis to Ferdinand, IN., to coach Jr. High Football. Three years later, I was blessed with an early opportunity, and because of my work ethic, I could make the most out of it. I will never promise to know everything or to be the most knowledgeable on your staff, but I can promise that I will rarely be outworked, and my experience in the last three years should show that. I am looking for another opportunity to join a varsity staff, and with my graduation from IUPUI this May, this seems like an excellent opportunity to explore. I would love to talk ball and get a better understanding of Avon if the opportunity permits itself. Appreciate your time!
• I was hired as a TE's coach for the 2022 Season. Old OC leaves in late July, pushing Brandon (HC) to Active Play-Caller. I was the number two Coach on the Offensive side of the ball when it came to game-planning and constructing offensive game plans.
• We originally built the offense around a strong-arm QB who would transfer one week before school started, which forced the reconstruction of the offense right before the season.
• Brandon relied heavily on my ability to read defenses and relay possible play options based on defensive alignment and specific game plans. This resulted in me calling plays around 40-50% of the time running the Check-With-Me system.
• I led a massive team initiative with the Hornet Advisory Board when team culture was at an all-time low because of the abovementioned events. After Cascade's loss, there was much doubt in team structure, and the help of the "Hornet Advisory Board" I created helped level some of that to push through to an improved record from the previous season.
• In my two years with the offense, we improved in 17/18 different offensive categories that we measured success on.
• I was promoted to OC at the end of the season with the selling point of running a more efficient offense.
• I was hired as an Operations Intern in 2021 when Brandon Accepted the Job.
• In Charge of All Film Operations, All Hudl Input Breakdown, and making sure practice was set up for coaches to coach. Being a middleman between the players and coaches was another part of the Job.
• I took it upon myself to integrate Hudl Sideline with End-Zone to have footage during the game, and it was my responsibility to upload and send the film to the next opponent after the game.
• I primarily worked on the Defensive side of the ball during my first season with the DBs.
• Brandon noticed my hard work throughout the season and during Sunday Meetings. Eventually, he bought into my character, which led to me being hired as a Varsity Assistant the following season.
