

Thirty years of work experience has demonstrated a passion for the welfare and advancement of others. Talents include, but not limited to:
▪ Provide leadership, management, and direction to Correction Coordinators, faculty, and staff
▪ Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with external partners
▪ Coordinate with the Department of Public Safety Correctional facility personnel for appropriate programming needs for respective sites
▪ Ensure adequate instruction and faculty all DPS sites
▪ Manage grant programs for the department as they become available
▪ Collaborate with DPS personnel on Prison Education Programs(PEP) and jointly agree on course offerings in accordance with DPS budgets
▪ Collaborate and develop a strong relationship with the NC DPS and other Criminal Justice Agencies
▪ Encourage growth and diversity of course offerings in order to foster inmate student interest
▪ Perform needs assessments and develop Workforce Continuing Education classes in collaboration with DPS personnel and workforce demand
▪ Conduct annual performance appraisals for all direct reports
▪ Encourage professional development for all employees through the promotion of internal and external opportunities
▪ Monitor budget for equipment and technological needs for service area
▪ Submit reports in accordance with College requirements and deadlines
▪ Perform other job-related duties as assigned in support of the College's goals and core values
