  • Safety issues were identified with an HDS heater that did not have a Burner management system and was too small for the feed going through it; 7-month planning and implementation for a larger heater with Burner management system was performed with low knock burners for the environmental section to increase safety and efficiency; the results followed with a new heater and burner management system with a PLC and automated BMS system, causing production to increase from 2400 bbls a day to 4000 bbls a day with room to spare.
