Operate JNL machine for Greenbay Packaging. This job involves setting up the machine to fold boxes and apply glue. Every box has different dimensions and sizes and different glue strip lengths. To do so, knowledge of using a tape measure is crucial. That way we can determine how long to apply glue and if we need a gap between each application. Each box has a PDF sketch that specifies where the box folds and where glue needs to be applied. The operator must also measure the box to make sure that the box is fit to run through the machine. If measurements are off then the box would not pass. The operator must also have basic math knowledge and know how to open and close each order.
