I've worked in the Nimitz Marine Facility shop since 1995.
I was moved up to Senior Marine Mechanician in 2000.
In 2000 I was asked to start the Forklift training program. I've trained over 200 SOMTS and visiting UNOLS ships employees in a safe and proper use and operation of forklifts.
I was also asked to take on the responsibility of maintaining and installing the NSF Dynacon Deeptow Winch System and all NSF winches.
I worked as interim Nimitz Marine Facility shop Superintendent from May 2016 in the absence of the shop Superintendent George Sutherland.
I have worked very hard over the past 29 years learning everything I could about machining, welding, shop and shipboard equipment to the level I am at now.
Over the last 10 years I've taken on the responsibility of shop supervisor and heading up many major projects.
