Lori Christensen

I started in the Mine Department running equipment in 2007, in 2010 I joined the Blast Crew and have been there ever since. I started on the ground and worked up to the Senior Blaster position where I currently sit.

I have experience in prepping, loading and shooting blast holes. I also process the blasting paperwork, keeping the supply inventory straight and run the drill and blast data base. I also set the timing to the shots working closely with geo tech and Southwest Energy to ensure proper wall control.

I am proficient in the Shot Plus program used for pattern timing and familiar with working in the Des to pull our patterns.

I am proficient in blast timing to ensure wall control while achieving proper fragmentation.

I work closely with the Drill and Blast Planner to create a drill and blast weekly plan that is efficient for both pit progress and the blast crew.

I am proficient in tracking QAQC such as drill hole depths, pre and post blast inspections and measuring fragmentation in the dig face.

My top priority for my team and myself is safe production!
