· Managed and oversaw operations of multi departments and controls.
· Successful in transitioning move of an HR call center from our California base office to the Reno operations office. Recruited, trained, and manage the staff of over 30 HR Generalist to service over 218,000 work site employees.
· Implemented a progressive benefits program for all employees, increasing recruitment and retention levels, lowering self-funded plan cost, as well as being an aggressive defense against the increased cost of the new minimum wage laws. Projected overall savings of $1.4 million dollars in labor costs to the organization.
· Received written recognition from the Nevada Labor Commissioner. Initiated and organized a coalition of Nevada gaming properties and other key business to make recommendations to DOL to further detail the new minimum wage law.
· Conducted series of audit reviews resulting in over $250,000 in recovered charges to the company from an outsourced PEO service.
· Proposed and transitioned move from outsourcing through a PEO service to an in-house program, resulting in cost savings of $1,087,000 for the first year.
· Success in federal labor audit challenges resulting in a re-classification for outside technicians resulting in cost savings of over $500,000 per year in labor costs.
· Recruited and managed staffing growth through two hotel expansions from eight hundred employees to over 2500-staffed positions.
· Lowered the company’s worker’s compensation mod rate from a 1.90 to a .67 below industry standard.
