• Performed quality checks on parts being manufactured using different quality control tools as in: calipers, micrometers, height gages, pin gages, scales, etc. Also perform surface finish testing, roundness and concentricity tests. Do hardness checks on heat treated parts.
• Performed weld checks on all welders. cutting the weld, polishing, soak in acid and read with microscope. measuring weld depths.
• Performed visual inspections and non-destructive tests where appropriate.
• Performed incoming quality checks on incoming parts by doing all necessary measurements, and testing required to ensure all incoming parts meet quality standards and parameters.
• quarantine and label all non-conforming parts.
• set up sorting areas line side and/or off-line, informing all employees of sorting parameters and instructions of each quality issue and proper handling of all non-conforming parts.
