  • I would do one on one care with patients on hospice and administered medications and made sure the patient was comfortable in their final days
  • I drove to patient homes and nursing homes my job covered 18 counties so I would drive to where ever I was needed
  • I also did case management and checked that they had supplies in their homes or the nursing home they were in for their care
  • I took vitals and assessments and sat at bedside through the night and gave medications to give families time to sleep or called to get medications changed if patient needed something different to make them comfortable
  • I was also the on call nurse several times as well so I would go check on patients when there was emergency calls for falls or anything medical related happening and decide what course of action was needed and let my supervisors know accordingly
  • After my car accident I did light duty for awhile doing office work and filing paperwork into patient charts and faxing information to doctors and answering the phone until my permanent restrictions were put into affect by my doctor and they could no longer accommodate my work restrictions.
