  • Greet visitors warmly and provide tours of our well maintained, privately funded museum
  • Receive, photograph, catalog, research, and prepare newly acquired objects for display
  • Conceive and implement new marketing and fundraising ideas to drive interest, attendance, and donations
  • Engage with the local Tourism Board to promote and market the museum and other current city events
  • Upon arrival, I worked to develop an accurate database of all items on display donated or on loan; prior to my arrival, nothing was automated or digitally recorded
  • Plan and conduct special research projects in all areas of local history, resulting in the development of a series of newspaper articles, fundraising events, and exhibits
  • Assist in cataloging and maintaining detailed documentation of all Museum assets
