Two Bright Stars Costuming & Millinery, LLC is my own company. I design and handmake theatrical costumes, costume components, accessories and specifically theatrical headpieces. Many of my costume pieces can be seen on Disney Line's fleet of ships.

I work alongside designers and costumers, often with a collection of visual artwork, from this it is my job to design, source and make the costume pieces in a timely fashion, according to their production schedule.

Some skills I have learnt from working for myself include:

In addition to this company, in 2013 I launched my online shop, Two Bright Stars, on the Etsy platform which provides custom bridal and occasion headpieces. To date I have completed 1011 sales with 297, 5 star reviews.

On board the Disney Magic and Disney Wonder ships, my role was Senior Costumer. My responsibilities included:

  • Managing the 2 costume assistants and organizing their schedules.
  • Keeping inventory of the mainstage Walt Disney Theatre performers, characters, cruise staff and cruise directors costumes.
  • All costume maintenance and alterations of the above departments.
  • Costume laundry, steaming, ironing, folding and relocation back to assigned dressing rooms.
  • Presetting costumes, accessories and shoes for all shows. Dressing performers during the shows and performing quick changes.
  • Managing dressing tracks and rewriting them during cast crossovers.
  • Cast Crossovers: Managing the smooth transition between two cast, organizing the costumes, accessories, shoes and millinery, the understudy closet and the spare's inventory.
  • Worked effectively in fast-paced environments and having excellent backstage communications with the cast and crew.
  • Managerial duties: Ordering of replacement costumes, necessities, off-loading and receiving of manifests. Coordinating the timeliness of offshore repairs with the Orlando shoreside team.
