As a student manager at Milk N Cookies, I have grown from the bottom up, working here since the company opened its doors in 2019, and successfully expanded to opening 5 stores. I have the opportunity to contribute to a local business known for its delicious, freshly baked cookies, ice cream and warm community-focused atmosphere.
My role involved:
Customer Service: Providing exceptional service, ensuring a welcoming environment, and addressing customer needs with a smile.
Sales & Cash Handling: Managing transactions accurately, upselling products, and maintaining balanced cash registers.
Product Preparation: Assisting in the preparation and presentation of high-quality baked goods, maintaining strict focus to health and safety standards.
Team Collaboration: Working closely with a team to meet daily goals, ensuring smooth operations during peak hours.
Inventory Management: Monitoring stock levels, organizing supplies, and placing orders to keep the bakery well-stocked.
Scheduling: planning, development of schedules for all 5 locations, to successfully tend to all employees needs and availability preferences.
Through this experience, I developed strong skills in customer service, teamwork, and time management, all while contributing to the growth and success of a beloved local business.
