Delivered efficient project completion and high-quality results by supporting team members and prioritizing safety.
Operated heavy machinery for construction and site preparation tasks.
My responsibilities as a labor worker involved a wide range of hands-on tasks in field maintenance and construction support. I installed new filter socks and hammered wooden stakes around infrastructure pads and right-of-way dirt roads. A large part of the job focused on site cleanup—removing old filter socks, collecting debris and trash, cutting off film, and laying down new rolls of curlex. I secured each section with new staples every two feet and helped dig trenches and move dirt around the perimeter of freshly installed curlex.
Measured and cut materials to size, replaced longer wooden stakes, and assisted in maintaining infrastructure pad perimeters. Organized job materials and conducted trash pickup. Spotter for operators using dozers, excavators, mini-excavators, skid steers, forklifts, and front loaders. Assisted CDL drivers with semi-truck and trailer hookups.
Performed maintenance by cleaning air filters, refueling diesel and DEF tanks, and guiding operators around obstacles to protect infrastructure. Communicated effectively in areas not visible to operators to ensure safety. Shoveled and raked dirt around concrete pillars while operating small machinery like skid steers, mini forklifts, and mini excavators for loading and unloading materials onto trailers or truck beds.
