My current job is to support and inform mothers who have never dealt with breastfeeding and caring for a newborn child. I am often sent out into the hispanic community to inform them about the pro's of the health department, as there is a big language barrier there that not many can get past. Another task I often deal with is to translate to Hispanic Americans/immigrants to help inform them on medical related topics, which could not be relayed before hand due to the language barrier.
