Logistics/Procurement- Human Tissue Grafts (Wound Care)

Management procurement, inventory management, and distribution of human tissue grafts/collagen and wound care products to support patient care and clinical operations to support quality patient care.

Duties include monitoring inventory levels, tracking purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery of grafts, maintaining proper storage and handling requirements, verifying documentation and regulatory compliance and management product availability to prevent delays in patient treatment. Also responsible for maintaning accurate records, resolving supply issues, and ensure quality standards are met.

• Review Clinical Data from medical records to assign ICD, CPT and HCPCS codes.
• Maintained updated knowledge of coding requirements, which included continuing education and certification renewal.
• Maintained current working knowledge of CPT and ICD- 10 coding principles, government regulation, protocols and third-party billing requirements.
• Read through patients health data, histories, physician diagnosis and treatments to gain understanding for coding purposes.
• Reviewed patient medical records for accuracy, completeness and compliance with coding regulations.

• Generated reports in order to track payments due from insurance companies or other third party payers.
• Performed follow up activities on unpaid claims with insurance companies or other third party payers by phone or written correspondence.
• Submitted electronic claims to various insurance carriers.
• Answered incoming calls regarding billing inquiries from patients and and or providers in a professional manner.
• Performed daily reconciliation of accounts receivable with payment postings on the computer system.
