Lucas A. Herman

The crank department was failing when i first went back there, now we are thriving and meeting the needs of the gas division. I work with all the pods to ensure we can help them meet their production goal with a quality product. I am over a team of 16 people, one of the biggest teams in the gas division, I am currently working alongside my group leader and trying to learn the group leader role and see the "bigger picture" when working with all the pods and supporting areas. Right now, I am trying to train someone from within the crank department, to join the leadership ranks so I can further help my group leader with the support areas and learn his role as group leader.

• Led team meetings to promote collaboration and ensure alignment on project goals.

• Coordinated resources and schedules for timely project completion.
• Enhanced team morale with motivational strategies and recognition programs.
• Left pod 20 to go through a 3 month work shop in pod 70 assembly, left my bench player in charge of the team.
• Came back to pod 20 with my bench player taking over for me
• Spent 2 weeks in pod 20 block machining training with the team leader

• I am a worker in Pod 20
• I started off as an inspector
• I am now mainly working in the repair area
• I have been taught to spot weld but I'm still learning that skill
• I am currently a team leader in Pod 20

• I was an associate in the Garden Center
• Learned to operate a forklift

• I started off unloading semi trucks
• I became very good with customers and got recognized for it by my peers and managers
• I got recognized for my strong work ethic and drive to get things done right, all while caring about customers and their needs
• The store manager asked me to become a support manager for the grocery side of Walmart, I was in charge of all the grocery employees, deli employees, bakery employees, and the supervisors and department managers for these areas
• It amplified my skills with customers and working with people in a business way

• I ran the belt sanders, drill presses, and various other machinery throughout the factory

• I started off as just a staff member
• The owner made me a trainer for new crew members
• The owner of the store entrusted me with management duties
• I became the person to train new shift managers and even trained the store manager
• I became a manager shortly before I left the store after high school
